    Default Going brushless

Looking for some advice on going brushless with my first gen Stampede. All stock except I widened it and sealed bearings. Castle Creations sidewinder or the Traxxas brushless system. Also ,Lipo batteries. I don't see anything recent in the search for Stampedes.

I would look at hobbyking if you are interested in a budget minded brushless system and Li-Po's. However if you are stuck on those 2 choices I would probably go castle.

Castle creations is a better choice over hobbyking any day. You don't have to go lipo. I am perfectly fine with nimh. The biggest thing is will the tranny hold up to brushless.

I'd recommend swapping out the standard transmission for a VXL steel gear tranny. You can find them on eBay for $35-40 all day. Much worthwhile upgrade if you're going brushless.

Get a Castle Creations Sidewinder system, 4600kv is a nice motor for the Stampede and a 2s Lipo from Hobby King.
    Is this thing still on?
