Default SUBOTECH BG1506 1/12 4WD RTR Rally Car Review

So I received a package in the mail today. http://www.gearbest.com/rc-cars/pp_2...m_campaign=MAX

Will get it opened up and take a closer look tomorrow morning. Stay tuned.

    EDIT

Here are some pics of the new rally car

Couple things I've noticed that I like so far. Front, and rear hinge pin braces are metal. Outdrives are metal (dogbones are plastic though) and all four wheels spin on ball bearings. Hopefully this means the entire drivetrain is ball bearing equipped. I'll find out when I dig in.

I got it opened up, and slapped the battery in it. Haven't driven it yet, but I'm impressed with how quick the steering servo is. Fastest stock servo I've seen in anything in a long time except for Kyosho Mini-Z's, those things have blazing fast steering.

I wonder why plastic dog bones and metal outdrives? It's a good looking rally car though. So how many car's do you have?

I'm not real sure why they'd do metal outdrives with plastic bones. Seems like it would have probably been fine with plastic outdrives too. It's not like it has crazy power.

I've accumulated quite a collection lol. I'd say I have somewhere between 20 and 30 different cars. I'd have more, but sometimes I sell cars that I don't really use. I also have planes, helis, quads, and boats lol. I'm a bit of an RC addict

Was digging through my boxes to see what options for tires I might have for this thing. Since we have some more snow on the way I thought I'd look into fitting a larger wheel/tire combo. Found some that look pretty good. I believe they're for a Redcat 1/16 truck, but they fit the rally car perfectly.

Here's a quick video of the rally car running in the snow.

Look's like a fun time. It looks bigger than I expected it to.

Certainly no speed demon lol, but it runs well enough to get around. It's larger than I expected too, for 1/12th scale it seems pretty big. It's close to the size of 1/10 touring cars.
