most bl motors have screws by the end of the end bell . (by the wires )

how ow you usually test a motor is you feel the resistance . then put the motor leads together . if you feel more resistance it is good

Sounds like you got it, but sometimes you can take a pick or very thin flat screwdriver and pop up on the pinched in tabs holding the can's ends in. Sometimes the ca/ends have a bit of epoxy like stuff holding them in and can be a pain...when putting back together just be sure to squish the locking tab things back down.

I always thought a wore out motor would just be weak from the magnets not working correctly from being too hot. Would still be smooth, but lacking in power. might be wrong though. Sounds to me like it's more of a connection/wire issue either in the motor or esc or somewhere in between!

Also, if you are using under rated or poor condition batteries they might not have enough "umph" initially (low C rating?) to get the car going but then can catch up, just another thought!

is your slipper tight ? did you spray some wd40 in there ? from what you're describing it sounds like your slipper is loose , or one of your wheel hexes are stripped .

you have to check by taking off the nut to see if the hexes are rounded .

ive had stripped hex nuts that's not what it is I think its just the motor is messed up and funny thing I was drivin it on the road and it started acting up worse than before and i was drivin than lost control and landed in the 8 ft ditch had about a foot of water in it and was floating so I grabbed it hit the gas once to dry it off a little then I turned it off then unplugged battery and I took receiver apart and dried it with a hair dryer and somehow everything still works nothing was waterproof that is what I call luck
