Any brushed motor is waterproof.
My savage is a flux. A flux has an electronic speed controller. An electronic speed controller has a capacitor. Therefore my savage has a flux capacitor!
OK thanks any motor you would recommend?
Were you not happy with the stock Titan? I only ask because if you are really wanting to upgrade, might as well save up a few extra bucks and just get a brushless esc and motor. Decent 1/10 brushless stuff can be had for pretty cheap these days.
And speed, glorious speed!
yep as said above go brushless you will never look back
watch out for that oops too late time to order parts
Its not that its just I bought this stampede from a buddy for 65 bucks he said the motor was going to go out drove it for 5 mins and burnt motor up and it came with 3 more of the same motor that were all bad to so obviously there junk motors and I kinda want one I can rebuild and could I just put a brushless motor on the stock ESC?
Stock Traxxas 12T? I don't think they are really junk - you gotta have it geared right, and many other factors to get long life out of a motor. True though, they can't be re-built. You would have to buy an esc AND motor to go brushless, what kind and size of batteries are you using?
I'm using a 7.2 volt 3000mah battery it has more power than the 8.4 volt it came with I can pop wheelies with 7.2 and dont have as much power with the 8.4
i would sell the brushed esc to help pay for a brushless setup if you go to the right sites you can go brushless for about $170 i have a 2wd stampede and i run a hobbywing sc-8 esc can be bought on amazon for about $65 about $20-25 for a neewer 3900kv motoralso from amazon and my lipos are zippy 2s 20c 5000mah about $20-25 from hobbyking.com and i have a thunder ac6 charger that charges any battery type about $50 from hobbypartz.com
The above setup runs about 40-45 mph on 16/56 32 pitch gearing and still has enough torque to wheelie from half throttle given enough traction
watch out for that oops too late time to order parts
Dang that's pretty quick but I don't have a job right now since I'm still in highschool lol so I may have to wait till this summer if i can get a job or If I sold my 4wd on road car I got I just wanted to get it up and running again
