There are the Big Bore ones from HPI. I don't know what version of savage you have, but they're standard on the Flux and the new 4.6. You only need 4, so that'll reduce your shock maintenance by 1/2. Alternatively, I've heard great things about using LST shocks, but for that, you'll need a conversion of some sort.

It has a Light Side, a Dark Side, and it holds all things together.

HPI does offer a big bore set, in aluminum I think. That would be my first recommendation.
Is this thing still on?
hpi part number A720 is the aluminum big bore shocks for the savage. the stock bigbores from the flux or the new 4.6 work just as well , they are also lighter then the aluminum counter parts.

The LST shocks will be the toughest option. They have thicker shafts and stout caps and shock bodies. Very rugged, and a good setup for any Savage with the LST shock conversion.
