Savage xl or losi xxl and when you want a change, then convert it to brushless...that should keep you entertained and busy for quite some time!

Big block nitro monster trucks are very fun, and the big .28 and above engines are VERY powerful (kind of slouches compared to big brushless though

I've heard the Thunder TIger MT4 G3 is (arguably) the best basher truck in the business. It's cheaper than almost any other truck you could buy new, and you'll have to mail order replacement parts, but from what I hear it just will not break. Period. Obviously, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but BigSquidRC did a review of it and they couldn't break much. They even named it basher of the year. I'd give it some serious consideration. Just my two cents.

Here's the link for where to buy it. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...=LXAPPR**&P=ML

EDIT: And here's a thread here on good old BYT. http://www.beatyourtruck.com/forum/s...r-tiger-MT4-g3

Tower Hobbies is, as far as I know, the only place to buy one here in the States, unless you want to ask your LHS to special order one. Another website I forgot to mention is http://www.wondertiger.com . It's got a ton of resources for that truck.

There is another site in the US, activepowersports.com. They list it cheaper than Tower does, but they get their inventory from Tower's wholesale division.

It's been out of stock since February, was supposed to be back in stock by late April, that has since been changed to late May.

It's not indestructible, but it is an amazingly durable truck. I've done things with it that I know my ERBE would have broken something trying to do. Many times. Wondertiger has a few Savage owners on there who say it is more durable and easier to work on than their Savages, too.

It needs a couple of minor tweaks out of the box (a chassis brace being the main one, if you want to jump it a lot) and the stock hinge pins are a little suspect, but other than that it is a solid, fast truck with great handling.
You're gonna end up eating a steady diet of government cheese, and living in a van down by the river!
