    Default Nitro Rustler Slipper Clutch

My slipper clutch keeps loosening up on me, I have already replaced the locknut and it only lasted 2 tanks. It seems like it gets too hot and softens up the nylon locking part of the nut. I didn't replace it with the traxxas locknut, instead I used a generic nylon locknut. Do you think the stock one has some "high temp" locking nylon? I don't think locktite will work being as it still has to be adjustable, any suggestions would be appreciated.

The generic lock nut is most likely your best bet,I have seen this problem with many traxxas products. If it still backs off maybe you can try using another nut as a jam nut.

Yea, that's the one I had used as a replacement and it only lasted 2 tanks. I guess I will try the Traxxas one, I may even try a new shaft. If that still doesn't work I will crank it down and JB Weld it on, that will show it.
