That's right, I picked up a Stampede 4x4 roller off the bay to cure my issue of ground clearance I was having with the Ten T. Here is how it came.
Now I chose this route cause I knew I didn't want a stock setup. For my Pede I consulted with the God's at Castle and decided to go with the MMP SCT combo that comes with a 2400kv 4 pole motor. I am also using my speky RX and Hitec 985 servo.
Now this motor is pretty long. So I had to make a couple modifications with my handy dandy dremel. Once I had room for the motor, I had to make a mounting surface for the ESC. I used a small piece of FFRC carbon fiber.
Got all the electronics all mocked up, which was my goal tonight. I have the battery on the way, along with some odds and ends goodies to go along with what is already on my shelf. But for now this is how far this is going to go. Once all the parts come in, and I finish painting a body, I'll pick it back up.

Lookin' great so far, jholthus! That motor should certainly give it some good 'get up and go'! What body are you going to run and will it have Trenchers or something else?![]()
Sweet man! These seem to be awesome rides
Cant wait to see what you do with the body![]()

Not completely sure yet. I think I am going to go with the trenchers on some traxxas rims, at least until the 12mm gives in. Then I may try to get some 17mm on there.
As far as the body goes. Still undecided at this moment. There is a couple of sweet options out there.
Josh, why didn't you just throw the trenchers on the Ten-T? That thing was awesome, I hope you won't be disappointed with this truck. I'd prefer the Ten-T myself.

That's what I am thinking. I am going to go to lhs to see what they have. I can easily stretch the trenchers on 3.2's. Plus I don't have a lot of confidence in these 12mm with all this power
-well you can always run 14mm hex for the old 3.2 in. Maxx size rims cause the stub axles have the same OD.

NIce looking forward to seeing this complete!
looking good bro glad to have in the pede 4x4 community lol

Should be one fast 'Pede. The Trenchers fit fin on 2.8 rims. Maybe go with Badlands? Pro-Line has those out now for the 2.8 rim. The groind clearance is fine with a 2.8 on there.

Alot of people dont like 17mm.They say that it handles worse with it and they lose alot of speed.Maybe they are being over dramatic? But with that 2400 you'd have alot of room to gear up.

New round of parts came into today. So I installed them while the vinyl cutter was running. Traxxas center diff, King headz aluminum motor mount, STRC motor mount plate and the clear cover so I can see what is going on with the gears.
Really didn't take too long to put this stuff in. So far this thing is a piece of cake to work on. Got it all installed, then finalized all the electronics and binded the RX to the TX. Hooked up servo horn, just waiting on the rest of the goodies before I continue. Besides that the vinyl is done for OrigJoker's body and it's time to paint a little. Anyhow, this is how it is looking thus far. OH! Almost forgot that I installed the battery tray extension also. Now I should have no issues with lipos.

thats going to be a bad machine keep some foam for batt. tray
that thing is looking amazing man!
I am jealous Mr Holthus! Thats gonna be one mean machine when you get those Lipos in there. Ive been eyeing that SCT castle combo for my Hyper for a while now... just need to convince myself. Maybe some bash videos from this thing will help cure it
Btw, have you seen the JC Raptor / body lowering kit? That would almost be a no brainer for me with this truck!
